STATEMENT OF PURPOSE, ST. STEPHENS INDIAN MISSION
 
 

The purpose of St. Stephens Indian Mission, the presence of the Roman Catholic Church amoung the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho, is to grow into a strong community of believers, sharing our lives in the Holy Spirit, forming one welcoming People of God, who are committed to Jesus Christ, his gospel and mission.

St. Stephens Indian Mission is a Jesuit-sponsored Roman Catholic not-for-profit religious and charitable organization, comprised of the Body of Catholic People associated with St. Stephen, St. Joseph, and Blessed Sacrament Churches who serve the evangelizing mission of realizing the Kingdom of God on the Wind River Indian Reservation in west central Wyoming.
